Derived from bacteria that are highly unlikely to cause sickness or disease in most people.
PetroBloom is a consortium of facultative microbes designed to degrade petroleum hydrocarbons and other organic contaminants in the soil and groundwater. The microbes are derived from bacteria that have been identified and categorized as BioSafety Risk Group 1 organisms. BioSafety Risk Group 1 organisms have been defined as microbes that are highly unlikely to cause sickness or disease in immune-competent individuals. Furthermore, these microbes are non-pathogenic and to the best of our knowledge do not produce toxins or secondary metabolites that would cause an adverse effect in humans.
PetroBloom is bred and stored in our facilities prior to shipment. All PetroBloom batches are bred on diesel fuel and microFUEL until reaching optimal bacterial count prior to storage and shipping.
